Mobilizing Research Initiatives on Management of Technology
The mission of IAMOT as an organization is to promote and advance the state-of-the-art management of technology and innovation research, education, and practices worldwide. The IAMOT Education Committee is responsible for the association’s efforts in promoting effective educational programs in MOT. The objective is, therefore, to act as a central MOT information and knowledge source to encourage education in the field of management of technology, and to serve as a central information resource for practitioners. These goals are realized through a portfolio of activities that include facilitating a network to exchange relevant information with other individuals and organizations related to the IAMOT educational mission, developing and assisting in benchmarking educational standards and promoting sound educational practices for MOT, providing assistance to educational institutions and practitioners in the field of MOT and innovation, monitoring MOT trends and establish MOT research priorities, and conducting audits on MOT programs offered by educational institutions, with the aim of endorsing such programs.

PROMOTE AND EXPAND YOUR PH.D. AND OTHER RESEARCH

IAMOT invites Ph.D. supervisors in the field of MOT and Innovation to share information about their Ph.D. students and their projects for possible knowledge exchange and collaboration

(e.g., co-supervision and joint degrees) with other Ph.D. researchers and their supervisors. Please provide the following information:

MOT RESEARCH PROGRAMS

IAMOT invites MOT research directors to publish information about their MOT research focus areas and funding resources to attract the attention of potential research collaborators from other institutions. The information could also assist Ph.D. supervisors in identifying appropriate external examiners for research students. Please provide the following information:

COMPLETED MOT PH.D. REPORTS

IAMOT invites MOT Ph.D. supervisors to publish a link to completed Ph.D. research reports of their students. These reports are not only a valuable source of references for current and future Ph.D. research students but also make a valuable contribution to knowledge sharing in the general MOT field and promote the university’s MOT research worldwide. Please provide us with the following information:

IAMOT ENDORSEMENT FOR YOUR MOT PROGRAM

Over the past years, IAMOT conducted extensive studies on the trends of MOT programs and curricula designs; see, for example, the publication by Yanez, Khalil, and Walsh. Global changes, such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and a new world after Covid-19, bring about a continuous stream of technological changes that forces MOT program directors to rethink their program designs. IAMOT is in the process of upgrading its guidelines for MOT programs in order to assist program directors with the evaluation of their programs against global standards to ready themselves for the new world of technology and innovation management.
